About Us Two Aubrey descendants met by chance. When they discovered both were researching their Aubrey families, Meredith McFadden (right) and Pam Buttrey (left) pooled their resources. Much travelled, and with many writing credits in print, radio and television, Meredith has an M.A. from the University of Sydney, N.S.W. Pam’s career went from head occupational therapist to professional researcher and author, with an M.A. in English Local History from the University of Leicester in the U.K. They overcame the ‘tyranny of distance’ and spent years gathering data and verifying existing records to support the accounts of people and places in their books. Their efforts brought to light: · Salt & Silk – chronicles of the Aubreys of Clehonger; · Silk& Sons – how an Aubrey married the Lord Chancellor’s daughter; · Lyss Place – Peace and Turmoil for the Gentry in Liss from 900AD. Published by Aubrey Warsash Publishing with the help of The Better Book Company and the Ashford-Colour Press, they have given many people great pleasure. See Reviews. More books on other subjects are in the pipeline.
