DEAR EVERYBODY - LETTERS FROM A BOMBER COMMANDER PILOT

World War 2 changed the lives of millions of people around the world.  One such was Bill McFadden, a young office boy who worked in the Brisbane Shell Company.

A Francophile and a lover of good music, his over-riding ambition was to learn to fly.

The Second World War provided an opportunity, so as soon as he could, he joined the Royal Australian Air Force.

During his six years in service overseas, he wrote copious letters home. They have been transcribed as Dear Everybody – Letters from a Bomber Command Pilot.
